Genetic diversity assessed from root samples: a LegumeLegacy collaboration

Sophia Philadelphi is a doctoral student at University of Hohenheim, and she will be joining Molecular Plant Breeding for a five-month secondment. She is part of the MSCA LegumeLegacy project with Dr. Roland Kölliker and Linn Huser, and together they will analyse plant root samples to explore cultivar composition from genomic data. Sophia’s work will further focus on linking the genomic information to her research on the effects of heatwaves on biomass production in grasses, legumes and herbs in multi-species swards.
