Establishment of a detached-leaf segment assay for stem rust in Italian ryegrass

Maria Wiederkehr will be working on her Master thesis at Agroscope Reckenholz and in the Molecular Plant Breeding group. Maria will develop and test an in vitro assay to reliably and efficiently phenotype stem rust resistance in Italian ryegrass. She will be supervised by Jenny Peter, Dr. Christoph Grieder and Dr. Roland Kölliker.
