Strengthening genomic selection in crop breeding

A warm welcome to Daniel Ariza, who is joining the Molecular Plant Breeding group to work towards a doctoral degree on genomic selection in crop breeding. Daniel has worked at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture in Cali, Colombia, and is experienced in the implementation of genomic selection strategies in bean breeding. His research activities at ETH Zurich will strengthen the further development of genomic selection as a powerful breeding tool in plants.
